Three days before Ren Fa’s family tomb is relocated, Maoshan Taoist Lin Zhengying, originally named Lin Fengjiao, is drawing a coffin-sealing talisman by night when he accidentally activates the Myriad Heavens Demon-Subduing System.
The main System gives him magical artifacts and talismans through missions, helping him master authentic Taoist arts: drawing talismans, forming hand seals, refining pure-yang glutinous rice, and setting up Bagua formations. His skills grow stronger with every step. The secondary System rewards him for his friends’ and family’s progress: when his junior fellow disciples Simu and Qianhe gain 1 point of cultivation, he gains five times as much; when his apprentices Qiusheng and Wencai make 1 step of progress, he receives a tenfold boost. His cultivation advances by leaps and bounds.
From then on, he travels through the myriad heavens with his disciples: battling flying corpses in Mr. Vampire, breaking black magic in Magic Cop, helping restless spirits find peace in Troublesome Night, and finally slaying a Chaos Evil Spirit of his own creation. The ghost-catching scenes are richly detailed, the magical duels showcase authentic Taoist arts, and the story is full of amusing everyday moments, from the master and disciples bickering to his junior fellow disciples getting into trouble.
In the end, Uncle Nine uses the System as his wings and Maoshan arts as his blade, becoming the greatest demon-subduing Taoist master across the myriad heavens, revered by all and feared by every ghost!
A lot of the plot has been changed, and one sentence keeps repeating, as if there is nothing to write about.
