In his quest to unlock the secret of immortality, mad scientist Lin Yan awakens a deadly jiangshi in an abandoned laboratory. An archaeological team ventures into an ancient tomb in southern Yunnan, unearthing a thousand-year-old hopping vampire and an underground corpse-raising palace. When modern technology collides with ancient curses, a corpse-transformation virus spreads through fungal threads, turning the city into a battlefield of blood and flesh. Lin Yan discovers that he is descended from a family that has guarded tombs for a century, and that the relic in his body conceals the soul of the Corpse King. From the laboratory to the summit of Kunlun Mountain, he must uncover the curse in his bloodline before the full moon and fight the mastermind controlling life and death. Every jiangshi is a clue, every heartbeat brings death closer. Behind the promise of immortality lies humanity's darkest greed...
