Chongzhen: A Notebook in the Twilight of the Ming

Zhu Youjian, a top student at the National University of Defense Technology, was struck by lightning one day in 2013 and unexpectedly transmigrated. He found himself as Zhu Youjian, on the day after his accession to the throne in the first year of the Chongzhen reign. All he had with him was a laptop full of historical, scientific, and military information, along with a working solar charger.

At the time, the Ming faced crises both within and beyond its borders. Wei Zhongxian and the remnants of the eunuch faction pulled strings in the shadows, the corrupt Donglin faction bled the treasury dry, Shanxi merchants aided the Later Jin, Hong Taiji eyed the empire from beyond the passes, and the people within them were starving. Now Zhu Youjian, bearing the name of the Chongzhen Emperor and armed with a 21st-century perspective and cutting-edge reference materials, vows to change the fate of the Ming dynasty.
