Taoist Priest: I'm No Con Man, I'm the Real Deal

Daoist + System + Ghost Hunting + Slaying Demons

Lin Feng is a bona fide “miserable Daoist”: his talismans never work, and when he tries to exorcise ghosts, people call him a fraud and throw him out of their apartment building. Who would guess he is a direct descendant of the ancient Qingwei Sect, with the bloodline of the Heavenly Dao’s guardian sealed inside him?

Then the “Real Daoist Certification System” binds to him. He makes a name for himself by driving a little ghost out of a stairwell, then proves his identity by livestreaming footage of a shadow. One comment, “Master, you’re famous!” floods the entire internet. The female ghost Su Qing takes him to find a jade pendant tied to her lingering obsession, the fox demon Xiao Bai recognizes him as her master and becomes his assistant, and even the old Daoist who tried to expose him bows his head and asks to become his disciple. The “fraud” of yesterday becomes the world’s paranormal savior.

When the demon clan stirs up trouble and tries to open a portal between worlds, he rolls up his sleeves and forms an alliance across the Three Realms: the Ghost King sends ghost soldiers, the Demon King brings demon generals, arhats from the divine realm appear in phantom form, and immortal masters come to help. With talismans in his left hand to suppress the Corpse King and demon-slaying charms in his right to cut down demon generals, Lin Feng goes from catching water ghosts in apartment complexes to seizing strange stones in the demon realm. He exorcises evil with a comedic flair, turning himself from a “useless Daoist” into a legendary guardian.

The female ghosts by his side fall for him, viewers across the internet follow his livestreams and shower him with gifts, and all the creatures of the Three Realms respectfully call him “Master Lin.” Looking at the comments calling him a “fraud who made a comeback,” Lin Feng can only laugh and cry at once. “I’ve told you all, I’m not a fraud. I really am a Daoist!”
