Su Wen arrives in a world of supernatural, bizarre creatures, superhumans, evil gods, contained anomalies, and the 749 Bureau of Supernatural Ability Management.
He waits years for a Sequence, but none comes. Instead, he gets an evil god’s trial.
After receiving the Evil God’s Sequence 004, King of Slaughter, Su Wen begins the trial, eager to show what he can do. Then he checks the tasks.
Evil God Trial 1: Make the 749 Bureau hunt you down with all its might. Do not let them capture you.
Evil God Trial 2: Escape the 749 Bureau’s pursuit and make them stop hunting you.
Evil God Trial 3: Destroy a supernatural aberration known as the Eternal Spirit, a creature even the 749 Bureau can’t handle.
Su Wen: “Are you kidding me?”
Still, Su Wen completes the Evil God’s trial and obtains a divine spark and divine skills.

The funny thing is, even though he has obtained an Evil God’s divine spark, the 749 Bureau, whose mission is to drive out evil gods, invites him to join.
“My Sequence is 013, the Formless Mage. I can move mountains and overturn seas, pluck stars from the sky, transform into anything, and open pocket dimensions. I can do anything!”
“Excellent. It’s mine now!” Su Wen happens to be missing a mage Sequence.
The Hope Society’s chief preacher: “Stop torturing me! I want to be contained!”
“Sorry, I don’t do that,” Su Wen says.
The 749 Bureau’s Valkyrie: “There’s a traitor among us. He’s an evil god’s representative in the human world.”
Su Wen smiles innocently. “This just got interesting.”
But you’ve got it wrong. I’m not an evil god’s representative. I am the evil god!
