Nine Calamities of the Blood Firmament

The heavens weep blood. I am the abyss!

That day, the immortal sect was destroyed, and all his comrades perished. Before his very eyes, his master became the most tragic and beautiful cloud of blood within the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation.

The blood of thirty thousand disciples flowed together into a river, surging against the sky and staining the bright firmament a dark red like eternal night.

Amid a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, Xiao Chen pointed to the heavens and swore:

"If this is the Heavenly Dao, then I will tear apart this false sky!"

A world-ending blood bolt of lightning was the Heavenly Dao's judgment upon him, and the beginning of his path to defy fate. He awakened from destruction, inherited the power of annihilation, and swore to rebuild himself with the blood of his enemies and crush this lawless world beneath his feet.

Yet as he descended into madness amid the flames of vengeance, a woman named Luo Wuxia quietly entered his life. She was as cool and pure as snow, untouched by the dust of the world, seemingly the only light in his dark world.

But he did not know that her arrival was itself the Heavenly Dao's final, and gentlest, killing tribulation laid out for him.

"You want to kill the heavens, but I am the heavens."
