Shadow Eater City appears to be a modern and prosperous city, but behind it are mysterious disappearances, live broadcasts of deaths, and unexplained mental illnesses from decades ago. Multiple character lines are intertwined: suspense reporter Song Qian traces a series of bizarre deaths, psychiatrist Lin Yilan discovers that patients' collective hallucinations are related to supernatural phenomena, network anchor Tang Jiachen's live broadcast brings new disasters; detective Shen Liunian struggles between official regulations and the truth, and missing person survivor Zhou Zimo secretly searches for the real source of fear. All clues ultimately point to an ancient taboo existence - "Shadowless", which is the manipulator behind the terrifying fog in the city. The boundaries between people and the city are gradually blurred, nightmares and reality are intertwined, and everyone has to face their own darkness.
