Not long ago, by chance, I reunited with a friend from many years ago. He read my writing and suggested that I write some episodic novels. I bluntly said that words are just another language in my world, and I cannot write a pleasing plot. But this idea took root in my heart. Today, I finally opened my notebook and tapped the keyboard with my fingertips. It was very similar to the story I was about to write. It was blurry, lingering, and finally slowly revealed through words. What I want to tell is the story of "me" and "him". In the story, there will be begonia flowers in spring; heavy rains in summer and people hiding in cars to listen to the rain; sunsets in autumn evenings; and burning fires in winter. There will also be those unspoken misunderstandings and frozen silences, as well as the uncontrollable blush before turning around when you finally say "goodbye". The heart-warming moments, moments of argument, and scenes of farewell in the story may remind you of someone or something. ——That's because we have all experienced similar tenderness and panic, similar expectations and losses in our relationships. The emotions in the world have a common temperature, and these emotions have truly taken root and grown in "our" hearts. If you find a familiar shadow between the lines, if you like, you might as well calm down and read it as a story that has nothing to do with you. There is no need to explore who "I" is and who "he" is, just follow the words and feel the simplest joys and sorrows in a relationship. A good story is never about recreating life, but about allowing everyone who reads the story to see a little bit of themselves in it. Now, the story begins.
