Embers: The Road Home Begins

In 2093, a natural disaster and ensuing mutation accelerated the collapse of civilization, plunging the world into an Apocalypse of viruses and radiation. Survivors struggle to stay alive in fragmented urban ruins, where factions carve up territory and resources dwindle. Lin Jin leads a diverse team through external conflicts, internal betrayal, clashes between groups, and the awakening of new abilities. Several storylines unfold in parallel: urban survivors establishing a new order; borderland scavengers searching for secrets of the old world; disease researchers seeking a way to save humanity; people awakening to abilities and facing conflicts between their humanity and their powers; and rival factions waging political power struggles. As time passes, the team faces a range of choices and clashes of belief, revealing the struggle of human nature in the Apocalypse and steering the story toward the ultimate decision between rebuilding and destruction.
