The New Great Ming

Zhu Yuan, a modern-day food delivery driver, unexpectedly transmigrates to the eleventh year of the Kangxi era. A severe drought has left food scarce, thugs are demanding rent, officials are oppressing the people, his parents have been killed, and he himself is in dire straits. A descendant of Zhu Yuanzhang’s fifth son, Zhu Yuan had already resolved to rewrite the humiliating history of Manchu rule. At his darkest hour, the Anti-Qing Hegemony System suddenly activates, and its starter pack provides 1,500 Xiaoguo Guards, a Desert Eagle, and survival supplies.

With his trusted followers Zhao Hu and Li Bo, he establishes a base in the Funiu Mountains and builds Baizhou Stronghold. He raids corrupt gentry, helps the people, and recruits thousands of bandits and prisoners. When a coalition of bandits from four strongholds attacks, Zhu Yuan uses his ingenuity and the System’s weapons to crush them. He also recruits blacksmiths, carpenters, and other skilled people to strengthen his foundations. Upon completing a mission, the System grants him another major reward: civil and military talents including Guo Jia and Niu Gao, 10,000 Black Armor Troops, and 10,000 Divine Machine Camp soldiers equipped with 10,000 breech-loading flintlock rifles. His 31,500 troops are officially reorganized as the Yu Army.

At this time, the Qing court’s decision to abolish the fiefs sparks turmoil, while Wu Sangui and the other Three Feudatories secretly plot rebellion. The whole realm is on the brink of upheaval. From his base in the Funiu Mountains, Zhu Yuan takes advantage of the chaos to sweep across the land with his elite firearms and strict military discipline, gradually overthrowing the Qing and restoring the Ming. After founding his country, he vigorously develops industry, bringing technology up to the level of the mid-nineteenth century and consolidating the nation’s strength.

Once the restoration is complete, the System reveals its ultimate secret: it tells him about its own origins and the truth behind Zhu Yuan’s transmigration, then opens the path to cultivation. In the end, Zhu Yuan leads the Ming Empire beyond its plane and into the supreme, vast world beyond, continuing his legendary quest for supremacy.
