In the post-apocalyptic wasteland, resources are exhausted. Lu Chen relies on the "Shadow" Golden Finger to work as a detective in exchange for supplies, but is involved in a turmoil due to a mysterious "energy crystal core". Competitor Zhao Feng covets the crystal core and sets up a trap to grab clues; Xiao Akun's best friend Lin Wei appears to be helping, but in fact secretly delivers information to Zhao Feng; and a gang of stupid thieves take advantage of the chaos to steal the crystal core, making the situation a mess. In order to protect the crystal core and his brothers, Lu Chen walks on the edge of good and evil, uses shadows to break the puzzle, fights Zhao Feng, dismantles Lin Wei's disguise, and plays tricks on stupid thieves. However, he discovers that there is a greater secret of survival hidden behind the crystal core, and the friendship between the people around him is also being tested in the competition for resources.
