The fictional "Tie Ao Street" in the old town of Linjiang is a corner forgotten by urban development, full of dilapidated tube buildings, oily food stalls and undercurrent chess and card rooms. The rent is low but not paid all year round, water and electricity are often cut off, and the streets are filled with the hustle and bustle of the market and the embarrassment of life, which is the epitome of the bottom group struggling to survive.
