My Deskmate Is the School Bully? I Only Care About Studying

(Male-male romance, high school redemption) Su Yanning of Class 7, Grade 11, is the undisputed top student in the school. His life is filled with formulas and exam papers, as orderly as clockwork. That is, until the first day of the new term, when school bully Chen Yezhou kicks open the back door and becomes his deskmate. He wears his uniform unzipped, sleeps through class, and ranks at the bottom of every exam. He is full of wild defiance, yet when a teacher calls on Su Yanning, he quietly nudges his textbook half an inch closer to him. At first, Su Yanning finds him a nuisance. But little by little, he discovers that Chen Yezhou gets into fights to protect his classmates and always carries ham sausages in his pocket for stray cats. Chen Yezhou had thought that the top student was an ice cube no one could warm, until he catches him getting red-eyed over a problem he can't solve. Beneath his silence lies loneliness. When routine collides with derailment, when calm meets restlessness, two people from different worlds slowly find their way out of their predicament, each illuminated by the other's light amid their noisy, bickering everyday life. This is a story of a top student and a school bully saving each other.
