Gambling City Chronicles: The Years I Ruled the Casino

People see only the dazzling neon lights of the Grand Lisboa Hotel in Macau, never the treacherous currents swirling beneath this city that never sleeps.

I am one of the people steering this city of desire: the youngest casino manager at the Grand Lisboa.

My job is to handle the troubles that come with money, power, and human nature.

From high rollers who spend fortunes like water to gamblers who've lost everything and are desperate to win it back;

from seasoned cheats working the tables to business tycoons with ulterior motives, they are my guests and my prey.

Here, every day brings stories of people making a fortune overnight or losing everything.

And I have to do more than ensure the casino always turns a profit. I also have to deal with the worst problems, the ones even security and the dealers can't handle.

They call me the casino city's “cleaner,” but I'd rather be known as

the one who makes the rules.
