God of the Sleepless Night: The Spark Burns Forever

[Fate] [Comeback] [Not Mindless] [Plot-Driven] [Multiple Twists] [One Female Lead]

"What do you wish to ask?"

"Are there gods beyond the Ninth Heaven?"

"Assume there aren't. You may ask another question."

"Are there gods in the mortal world?"

The person in the mirror pointed toward the horizon. "If there were, would the world be in this state?"

The night hung heavy, vivid as splashed blood, crimson and uncanny!

The youth turned and walked away.

"Where are you going?"

"To see the sights of the mortal world."

"Aren't the sights of the mortal world already beneath your feet?"

The youth looked back. Beneath his feet, deep-red blood stretched into an endless river.

"Are you afraid?"

The youth didn't turn around. "Why should I be?"

"No one can escape fear. Once it takes root, it never leaves!"

"If it won't leave, then I'll become fear itself!"

"But you're blind..."

Flames surged in the youth's eyes. He hefted a great balance scale and descended among heaps of white bones...

The long winds of a thousand years cannot dispel the world's chill. If the eternal night never ends, the fire in people's hearts can still outshine the sun and moon.
