Sunny Years, a Chance Encounter with Xiaoyu

Shi Yingnian graduated from Wancheng Teachers College. Since the eighth grade, he had carried the heavy burden of supporting himself and his mother, who suffered from coronary heart disease. He worked part-time throughout his four years of college just to make ends meet. In the late autumn of his senior year, the devastating news of his mother’s death plunged him into his darkest hour. With no heart for job hunting, he applied halfheartedly for a special-post teaching position in Lincheng. He failed the interview, but was offered a place when another candidate withdrew. In the end, he went to teach at the primary school in Wuli Village, Yunque Township. There, this handsome young man, once expected to achieve great things, meets Lang Xiaoyu, beginning a story interwoven with past pain, love, and resentment.
