[Everyone’s a friend + Prequel plot + Main story and daily life combined + Altered storyline + Happy ending, set in the world of Zenless Zone Zero / Identity V characters join the cast]

What if one day, the world came to an end? Would love still exist? If you were trapped in an endless abyss, would there still be any point in protecting someone?

Deep in Hollow Zero, in this frigid land sealed beneath Ether crystals and snow, there was no one but Ita, his mother, who slept eternally, the Bangboo loyal to him, and endless Ether monsters.

To protect his mother, Ita chose not civilization but to become the bloodthirsty snow monster of a fairy tale, staying forever in this frozen wasteland as her night watchman.

Ita hoped to take his mother out of the Hollow and find her people, if only he could kill that monster.

Ita never thought he could succeed, until one day, a few unexpected visitors arrived in the Boreas Hollow: members of the Hollow Special Operations Section Six and soldiers from the Obsidian Black Camp.

As the ice melted in the flames, Ita Weiruf was no longer the snow monster of the frozen wasteland. He was his mother’s night watchman, a guardian of New Eridu, and one of the leaders of the organization Under the Abyss. Codenamed Winter Guardian, he bore the title of protector. The mission of Under the Abyss was to keep watch over the last hope left in a world on the brink of doomsday.
