"The Conspiracy" is a novel written by contemporary Chinese writer Mai Jia. It was first published in 2003.
"The Conspiracy" is divided into three parts: "The Wind Listener", "The Wind Watcher" and "The Wind Catcher". Each part contains several story chapters. There are seven narrators, all of whom narrate their own stories in the first person. The journalist "Mai Jia", one of the narrators, cleverly connects them together.
Through this weird and confusing narrative method and the unpredictable suspense plot, the novel shows a world of agents that is different from people's inherent impressions, and reinterprets the tragic fate of agents.
In 2005, "The Conspiracy" was adapted into a TV series of the same name.
In 2012, "The Conspiracy" was adapted into the movie "The Wind Listener".
"The Conspiracy" was selected into the "Collection of 70 Novels in the 70 Years of New China".
