The Gluttonous Taoist Nun

Wuwang is an “ordinary” female Daoist. While her fellow cultivators banish demons with talismans and peachwood swords, she wields an iron spatula. To earn merit and prolong the life of her gravely wounded master, she ventures into a world overrun by evil spirits, while adding to her Guide to Appraising Ghosts: pan-fried two-timing scoundrels, crisp and fragrant; stir-fried shrews, bursting with satisfying resentment; steamed wicked children, so tender they melt in your mouth; boiled abusers, soft and chewy; and starving ghosts, best served as sashimi.

The underworld has issued a warrant for her, and her fellow cultivators fear her, but she couldn’t care less. That is, until she meets a thousand-year-old evil ghost unharmed by Netherflame. Though the ghost emerges unscathed from the blue blaze, it trembles after seeing through Wuwang’s true nature. “What... are you?”

The iron spatula spins lightly in Wuwang’s hand. She regards this peerless ingredient, unlike anything she has ever seen, and gives a faint smile.

“Shh...”

“Ingredients don’t need to know.”
