In 1938, in the Shanghai Concession, cryptography expert Su Man disguised himself as a typist and infiltrated the Japanese military intelligence office, and unexpectedly cooperated with Lu Zheng, an underground party member disguised as a Japanese translator. The two relied on codes to transmit information, but were suspected by Japanese intelligence officers. Under the close supervision of the Japanese army, they completed the task of destroying the Japanese arsenal and finally successfully evacuated the concession.
