This is a story about “pretending” and “seeing through the act,” about a “contract” turning into genuine affection. When an energetic, underachieving girl signs a “romance tutoring contract” with the famously aloof, ascetic top student to save her credits, the two put on one heart-fluttering sweet scene after another on the natural stage of campus life. They scheme against each other, but they also save each other, and eventually discover that the sweetest thing isn’t the contract, but the person behind it.
