Showbiz: I'm on the National Team, Try Banning Me Again

"He keeps singing about the motherland, and there's nothing we can do about it!"

"The entertainment industry wants to blacklist me? I'm on the national team. Go ahead and try!"

Blacklisted across the internet, buried under scandals, hounded at every turn: a disastrous start!

With nowhere left in the entertainment industry, Lu Yan, who transmigrated here, changes tracks and enters the National Youth Singing Competition!

You want to blacklist me? I'll make the national team judges cry with a song called My Motherland!

And so Lu Yan sings of the motherland and its magnificent landscapes all the way to the finals, becoming the competition's most celebrated champion!

Thanks to Lu Yan, the competition unexpectedly becomes a sensation. Major media outlets rush to report and repost the news, and China's official media praise him by name, bringing it all the way to the highest authorities!

When Lu Yan returns to the entertainment industry as a member of the national team and a favorite of China Central Television, the backers panic. They can't blacklist him, and they can't take him down. What are they supposed to do?

Just as everyone thinks Lu Yan can only sing traditional folk songs and can't keep up with modern trends, songs like Boundless Lands, The Painted Opera, As We Wish, and Scales of the Dragon of Heaven get young people everywhere singing about the motherland and praising its magnificent landscapes!

They won't let me act in films and TV shows either? Then I'll direct and star in Wolf Warrior and Drawing Sword. Let's see you refuse to air patriotic productions!

Just as everyone thinks Lu Yan can only write patriotic songs and promote love of country, he drops a pop album that sells over ten million copies...
