Drive our chariots forth, and storm the passes of Mount Helan.
Let us feast on the flesh of the northern barbarians, and laugh as we drink the blood of the Xiongnu.
"Iron Hooves Crush the Old Kingdom": What if the Twelve Gold Medals weren’t the end, but the beginning of a legend?
Modern special forces soldier Yue Yunfan dies amid blood and fire. When he opens his eyes again, he has become Yue Lei, the son of Yue Fei! Before him, a messenger holds aloft the twelfth death-knell medal. In his ears, he hears the tragic fate of his commander father, who will give his life in loyal service.
But he tears the medal to pieces!
“Launch the Northern Expedition!” His roar sets the blood of 30,000 Yue Family Army soldiers ablaze. He crosses the Yellow River and captures Bianjing, raising the banner of the Northern Expedition Protectorate amid the ruins of the old capital. He transforms repeating crossbows into deadly storms of arrows and builds a navy to sail the open seas. With the wisdom of a thousand years in the future, he will defy fate and change the destiny of this dying dynasty.
When the Jurchen cavalry ride south once more, he builds an ironclad defense of star forts and walls of fire. When Genghis Khan’s Mongol hordes bear down like dark clouds, the Divine Machine Battalion under his command unleashes artillery that will change the age. It is civilization’s strongest answer to barbarism!
This is the story of a guardian. He wants no throne, only to restore China’s backbone. See how, in the darkest of times, Yue Lei carves a path to survival for Chinese civilization with iron, fire, and blood!
