"Strong male lead, even stronger female lead + unhinged villainess + gloomy, possessive male lead + both devoted only to each other + face-slapping and putting scumbags in their place + political intrigue + national and personal vendettas + the System has little presence and offers no golden finger"
"The heroine has no moral compass. If that bothers you, don't read."
At sixteen, Shen Qiulai suddenly found a silly, sweet System in her head.
Her whole family was doomed to a tragic end? Then she'd kill the crown prince, the culprit, and install a new emperor.
Her father was a powerful general who commanded his own troops, and her godmother was a princess with immense influence.
Why should she care what anyone thought? Why should she curry favor with anyone?
When the powerful kicked someone who was down, she'd cut down the people doing the kicking.
Whoever wanted to sit on the throne needed her approval.
Otherwise, even if they made it onto that dragon throne, they'd have to get right back off!
When Shen Qiulai wanted to hit someone, Gu Chang'an worried she'd hurt her hand, so he hit them for her.
When Shen Qiulai wanted to kill someone, Gu Chang'an worried the stench of blood would bother her, so he did the deed for her.
When Shen Qiulai wanted to set something on fire, Gu Chang'an feared the sparks might singe her, so he took care of everything himself.
The System was furious. "Male lead, open your eyes and look! She's the wicked supporting villainess! You should be with the kind-hearted heroine!"
Gu Chang'an replied, "So what if she's wicked? I want to be the blade in her hand. Besides, she's clearly a soft-hearted goddess."
Qiulai is so handsome! He is worthy of being the hero's god! Domineering, I like it [admiration]
