The Pingdingshan Massacre in Fushun

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the novel The Fushun Pingdingshan Massacre uses the power of literature to return to Pingdingshan, Fushun, on the day after the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1932. Through the perspectives of ordinary people such as Zhou Tieshan and Li Shantang, it vividly recreates the shocking transformation of a peaceful village into hell within three days, and ruthlessly exposes the brutal truth: the Japanese army used "taking photographs" as a pretext for carrying out a mass slaughter. Based on historical facts, the novel commemorates the three thousand souls with a compassionate literary epitaph, warning future generations that peace comes from the deepest remembrance and reflection on history.
