Chen Mo, a memorial librarian in 2025, travels back to Nanjing in 1937 with historical materials in hand. In a desperate situation that is destined to fall, he implements the "Dragon Vein Project" with a mortal body and fights for a glimmer of life for 300,000 undead in the ashes of history.
