After the fall of Nanjing in 1937, Su Yuwan, a famous Kunqu opera actor, performed at the Japanese Army Officers Club and secretly gathered intelligence. Chen Feng, a soldier from the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance, pretended to be a businessman to meet her, but was betrayed by a traitor and the two were in danger. Su Yuwan used Kun Opera to convey a distress signal, while Chen Feng led a team to rescue the arrested comrades and finally successfully evacuated Nanjing.
