Marriage first, love later, a domineering CEO's devoted love, and healing each other
To ease her family's urgent financial troubles, workplace newbie Lin Weiwei signs a marriage agreement with Lu Tingyuan, a cold CEO worth hundreds of billions. The deal lasts one year: they'll put on an act in public and go their separate ways in private. Lin Weiwei thinks it's just a transaction where each gets what they need. She diligently plays the part of “Mrs. Lu,” but without meaning to, she keeps softening the man's icy defenses with a bowl of hot soup or a lamp left on late at night.
Lu Tingyuan thinks he has married a well-behaved nuisance, only to discover that his little wife is the one natural remedy for his severe insomnia. First he gets used to having her around, then admires her talent, and finally can't stand anyone else coveting her. With jealousy and one exception after another, the aloof CEO falls deeper and deeper.
