Just as Blue Star becomes unfit for human life, a planet suitable for human habitation is discovered.

A stray dog is fighting the heroine, Shiliu, over food in the yard when a beam of intense light pulls them, along with her seventy-year-old grandmother, into a space-time tunnel and onto a primitive planet.

And so begins a struggle to survive at all costs.

On this fantastical planet, there are endless and perilous forests, along with even more complicated terrain.

And there are dangers posed by other people, too.

Awaken talents in the struggle to survive, and grow stronger through killing.

Wait, is this food even meant for humans? With a face green as a melon rind and swollen like a pig's head from a food allergy, Shiliu stares at the sky in speechless disbelief.

Then there's her grandmother, as steady as a rock when cooking meals, or poisonous substances, but muttering strangely at all other times.

And the yellow stray dog her grandmother raised, who does nothing but guard or steal food and is just as eccentric as she is, has evolved into a “big yellow ox”?

How will this old woman, young woman, and dog survive on a primitive planet, overcome countless challenges, and conquer this new world?

The protagonist isn't morally perfect. She has her joys and sorrows, her own selfish desires as well as a sense of the greater good. She's upbeat, a little crazy, and steady at her core.
