In the Glenorland Valley on the desolate edge of the Scottish Highlands, deep in the cellar of the Prancing Pony Inn, lives a silent keeper and brewing wizard named Manas Ale. He used special fungi that came from the depths of the ancient clan tombs and grew on the remains of his ancestors, and followed the lost taboo recipe to brew a "dream mead" that existed only for the deceased clan members. This amber-like nectar is a bridge between life and death. The souls of the dead can experience the past and return to life in a pure way. However, if a living person drinks it, the netherworld passage it opens will be an unimaginable disaster. The liquor thief General Cornell led a group of soldiers who had long forgotten what awe was, broke into the cellar, looted all the liquor, and had a wild carnival. What the feast brought about was the pain of those who were buried in the wilderness being chased by illusions and tortured, especially Cornell. After drinking the mead, the memories of the bloody civil war massacres in the highlands turned into countless cursed bloody phantom pillars. When the dawn light first penetrated the deep soil in front of the cellar, all the poor prisoners who indulged in it were finally submerged in a crazy pool of blood. In the space celebrating the countdown, there was a pile of corpses frozen in jagged smiles. Manas, the only brewer who was powerless to prevent the tragedy but saw all the dust settled, stood there, leaving only the fragrance of the legendary brew and the infinite emptiness in his hands: death is on the opposite side of life; when approaching, be polite and treat death as if you are seeing life.
