On a snowy night in Northeast China in 1921, an orphan named Qiu Yin was on the brink of death when he was rescued by the reclusive Daoist Master Yuan. He entered a mountain temple, where he learned martial arts, Daoist fate-reading techniques, and superb medicine. There, he also formed a childhood bond with the clever and lovely Lingzi. In 1931, the September 18 Incident shattered the peace. The master and his disciples resolutely descended the mountain to fight the enemy, only to suffer a devastating blow during a night raid on a Japanese stronghold of horrors, modeled after Unit 731. Daoist Master Yuan died heroically protecting his disciples. Having lost his beloved mentor, Qiu Yin took up the banner and led his fellow disciples across the land: winning a surprise victory in the battles on the outskirts of Taierzhuang, risking his life to save his compatriots amid the fog of Nanjing, and matching wits and fighting with Japanese ninjas and spies in Shanghai. He used his fate-reading skills to assess the course of battle and his medical expertise to save the wounded, while protecting his deep love for Lingzi amid the chaos and facing the trials of fallen comrades and betrayal from within.
After victory in the War of Resistance, this "Snow-Hidden Hero" who had struck terror into the Japanese invaders chose to lay down his honors and retreat to the mountains. He left behind only the legend of "the greatest hero serves his country and its people," passed down through generations amid the vast snow and wind.
