Dual female leads, happy ending, and nothing upsetting, so read with confidence.
Gu Shanshan, abused by her adoptive mother since childhood and treated as a replacement, falls for Lu Haitang, a wealthy heiress. On a stormy night, with thunder crashing overhead, they hide in the school building and confess their feelings to each other.
Haitang: “I’m afraid that the fact I’m a girl who likes you might disgust you.”
Shanshan: “I said I like you too, big sister. I’ve liked you for a very, very long time. If you ever stop wanting me, I’ll stop wanting myself too. I’ll make sure you live with pain and guilt day and night, every moment, without sleep or rest.”
Later, after Haitang takes her anger out on Shanshan, Shanshan decides to leave. Haitang regrets it, and will never forget what Shanshan said before she went: “You’re the one who didn’t want me.”
After that, Haitang searches for her for six years, and Shanshan waits for her for six years. The years pass slowly: slowly enough for sunlight to crawl across an entire canvas, slowly enough for an apology to take six years to form, slowly enough for one cold heart to finally be warmed again by another.
This is a story about waiting, searching, and learning how to love each other well. No melodrama, just two girls, a group of friends, and a stretch of time slowly healed by love.
Although the writing style is a bit immature, it is very smart and full of life. However, I have been in a reading bottleneck period recently and I can't read much. Interested babies can take a look˶╹ꇴ╹˶. I give this book a thumbs up🥰
It's a good book, but the pursuit of my wife is a bit too fast in the middle, and the ending is a bit rushed.
Needless to say, I like it very much, a great book
