Seven Severings of Dust: Seven Fateful Trials, One Elegy of Dust
Seven extraordinary skills, seven lives with their own pasts. They once believed they could stand side by side forever.
Xiao Qianjue, orphaned heir to the Northern swordmaster, wields his cold blade for vengeance alone; Ye Qingmei, heir to the Jiangnan Divine Physician, can heal others with her gentle hands, but not her own heart; Shi Jingang, a brawny warrior from Guanzhong, is brave and simple, yet powerless against fate; Bai Yutang, the dashing thief-hero of Jinling, falls at last into love’s snare; Murong Wan of the Murong family, clever and resourceful, cannot find her own kin; Lu Yuanzhou, a scholar born into poverty, sees his ambitions trapped in a chaotic age; Hua Xiaoman, the Miao maiden, carries her destiny beneath an innocent heart.
Seven young people, each gifted with extraordinary skills and with no connection to one another, meet by chance in Jinling. From wary strangers, they become sworn siblings and set off together, believing they have found where they belong. The name of the Seven Severings soon resounds throughout the martial world.
But when a vast conspiracy engulfs them, they are forced to make life-or-death choices between loyalty, love, hatred, and ideals. In a single night, brothers turn against one another and sisters are torn apart. One’s hair turns white overnight to save a beloved; another stands guard alone over an empty city to protect a sworn brother; one leaves for lands overseas to avenge their family; another remains trapped in the southern frontier for the sake of the greater good…
Many years later, in a tavern outside Jinling, the one man who remains still wipes down seven wine cups. But six of them will never again welcome their owners home.
This is a martial-world legend of passion and betrayal, protection and letting go. When seven stars converge beneath the night sky of fate and shine with their brightest light, what awaits them is an ending in which each falls into a different abyss.
The Seven Severings are severed, but the ties of dust remain. This cup is for the days we can never return to.
After reading many chapters, the external and internal shaping of Xiao Qianjue was very successful. On the outside, "the black figure flies across the wasteland, and the night clothes outline the powerful lines", which highlights his mysterious and vigorous character; on the inside, "the face is pale but can't hide the loneliness and coldness" and "the pain is far less than the fire of hatred", showing his revengeful and vicissitudes of life, and the character is full of charm.
