The Red Mist Virus swept across the globe, mutated rotting corpses ran rampant, and human civilization became the embers of the apocalypse. Source-energy user Lin Yan and his teammates Zhao Feng, Su Xiao, and Chen Mo set out from the Ark Fortress to seek the truth behind the Red Mist and a hope for survival. They crossed the Desert of Death, unlocked Kunlun's prehistoric ruins, and uncovered the secret that the virus came from an ecological experiment by a prehistoric civilization. At the Free Port, they broke the monopoly on resources and formed the Stardust Squad, balancing the power of merchant guilds and mercenary groups. They crossed the ocean to South America's sanctuary, foiled the plot of Carlos, an agent of the Watchers, and seized the core of the anti-purification device: the Starcore Shard.
During the Arctic trials, they overcame three tests of physical ability, intelligence, and source energy, activating the anti-purification device and temporarily staving off the crisis of the Final Purification. Later, they established the Stardust Alliance, wiped out the remaining Watchers in Antarctica, and obtained ecological restoration technology for the Dark Core. They shifted from "fighting the Dark Core" to "working with Earth," establishing ecological harmony stations around the globe and cultivating cooperative species. In the end, they founded the Global Ecological Council and launched the "Century-Long Ecological Plan." Guided by the idea of "humanity and Earth living in symbiosis," they began a new chapter of rebuilding civilization, kindling the dawn of a harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature amid the ruins of the apocalypse.
