Heaven's Will Is Mine; I Fear Neither Gods nor Ghosts

Chen Xinghan, a modern graduate student in history, accidentally transmigrates to Muye in 1046 BCE and becomes King Wu of Zhou, Ji Fa, who is about to face King Zhou of Shang in a decisive battle. He thinks he can easily crush this mythical age with knowledge from the future. But he soon discovers that the gods, demons, ghosts, and monsters of this world are real. King Zhou of Shang relies not on his army, but on an evil “heavenly god” for whom he offers human sacrifices. Jiang Ziya, his advisor, is no mere strategist either; he too is entangled with the “immortals” of Kunlun. The so-called “Mandate of Heaven” is no vague authorization. It is a proxy war between gods, one that will determine the course of Chinese civilization. Chen Xinghan, an atheist from the future, is swept into the heart of the storm. All he can rely on is his knowledge of history and a heart that believes in neither ghosts nor gods, only that human will can overcome fate. In this game of chess played by gods and immortals, he must fight to carve out a path for humanity.
