Su Mengli transmigrates into an ancient melodramatic Mary Sue novel called The Emperor’s Overbearing, Unrelenting Love, but she has no memory of the original character’s name.
The original owner has a noble identity: she is the legitimate third daughter of the Duke of Yong’s household. Her eldest sister is a general’s wife, and her second sister is a princess consort. They’re rich and powerful, so she can just lie flat.
Then her second sister dies, leaving behind a poor little baby with no one in the world.
Su Mengli cuddles the adorable child, kissing and hugging her and lifting her high in the air.
Gradually, she realizes that this little one is none other than the future deranged villain and great demon king from the novel!
The trouble is, the great demon king is only two years old right now. He sometimes wets the bed at night and still needs someone to sleep beside him.
And in the original story, her entire family are cruel supporting characters who abuse the great demon king. When he turns fifteen, he takes care of every last one of them.
Su Mengli: “??”
There’s no way she can lie flat now. First, she’d better win over this great demon king and stay alive.
Her eldest sister and brother-in-law head to the border, leaving their child with Su Mengli too. She looks at the future great general who will defend the nation, scrunching up his little face in her arms with a thoroughly unhappy expression, and rubs her temples hard.
To make sure the two little ones learn their lessons, Su Mengli takes up her old profession again and opens a nursery, becoming a “teacher” herself.
Later, at the nursery, Su Mengli holds the two-year-old future villainess in her arms and wipes the drool from the little girl’s mouth. Beside her stands a little carrot-top, the novel’s male lead and future scheming emperor, who can barely speak clearly as he reaches out for a hug.
Only after she’s immersed herself in the joys of raising children does Su Mengli remember that her family is going to go bankrupt.
What can she do? She’ll just have to make money.
