The Jinyiwei: Tales of the Jiajing Era

A history graduate student transmigrates into a Ming Dynasty Imperial Guardsman during the Jiajing era, using modern knowledge to rise through a brutal battlefield. He is caught in the whirlpool of the Chu Prince's fief and the Yan faction's collusion with Japanese pirates to plot treason, and takes on a major case involving corruption in the frontier army and collusion with the enemy alone. When the capital's powerful families cut off his supplies and enemy cavalry pound at the passes, how will this sharpened blade unleash a heaven-burning inferno to tear through the darkness of the Ming court and rebuild the backbone of the northwestern frontier?
