A modern family of four encounters a car accident and wakes up to find that they have traveled back in time to a group of refugees fleeing famine in ancient times. Song Linling was the first to wake up and found her whole family in rags among the refugees, and her younger brother Song Fei was still holding a half-pack of uneaten potato chips. Father Song relied on his historical knowledge to judge that the place was similar to the late Ming Dynasty. The family decided to pretend to be amnesia victims and survive by relying on the modern items they carried (lighters, knives).
