In AD 2749, the "Void Zerg" invaded the Milky Way through the interstellar rift. Their swarm warfare and corrosive biological weapons destroyed half of human colonies. The remaining interstellar alliance retreats to the "Beidou Defense Line", and the male protagonist Long Zhan is the youngest mecha corps leader in the alliance. He carries the "Dragon Blade" gene sequence inherited from his family - he can deeply synchronize with the mecha at the spiritual level and even briefly predict the swarm actions of the Zerg, becoming a key combat force against the swarm.
