Reborn as a ’80s Businesswoman: Forced to Fight for Survival from the Start

[1980s] [Strong heroine] [Reborn] [No golden finger] [Building a career] [Feel-good] [Making a fortune] [Nostalgic] [A touch of ensemble cast]

Lin Xiaoqing, the investment queen of the 21st century, is unexpectedly reborn and starts out in hell mode: a thatched hut with nothing in it, a father with a bad leg, a frail mother, and two younger siblings so hungry they’re skin and bones.

She thinks she’s in for a hard struggle just to survive, then suddenly realizes that this obscure little fishing village is actually the future wonder of the world: Shenzhen!

She’s got this! She’s claiming this incredible fortune for herself!

Despite the villagers’ mockery and her family’s disbelief, Lin Xiaoqing uses memories from forty years in the future to begin her comeback.

The seafood the villagers turn their noses up at becomes delicious food that helps feed her whole family.

She improves the outdated net-making techniques and doubles the family’s income.

The broken shells everyone else dismisses become beautiful crafts that earn her her first pot of gold.

She starts by reselling digital watches, then founds a seafood processing plant;

She builds a fashion label that sets trends, then goes head-to-head with real estate tycoon Wang Shicheng amid the property boom;

She establishes her own electronics empire in Huaqiangbei, then makes a timely investment in the future internet giant Ma Tengyun.

Drawing on the memories of her previous life, she seizes every opportunity the times have to offer and steadily builds a business empire of her own.

And Chen Haodong, the demobilized soldier who stood up for her when she was being bullied by local thugs, goes from quietly protecting her while secretly in love to becoming her most dependable business partner and the warmest home she could ever find.
