Hello, My Employer

The main pairing is Xiao Yao x Ling. Any resemblance to other works is purely coincidental. Apologies for any out-of-character moments!

Personal setting: Assassin Xiao Yao x retired mercenary Ling

Ling: A retired mercenary who joined a paranormal company after leaving the service and became leader of a field team. Since he knows a lot of the company’s internal secrets, the company wants to use an assassin organization to ruin his reputation and then get rid of him. During a vacation, someone breaks into his home. The intruder is an assassin whose goal is to take his tactical knife. Ling makes a mistake and gets counterattacked. When the assassin tries to escape, he sprays Ling with something, leaving him instantly weak. Both of them are affected, and with their heads all fuzzy, neither knows what they’re doing. Ling only realizes that the other man has pinned him down, but the assassin doesn’t do anything to him and runs off.

Xiao Yao: The young master of the Xiao family and a key member of an assassin organization. He has always wanted to leave the organization, unaware that it has a deal with the paranormal company and plans to destroy his reputation and turn him into a pawn. He becomes caught up in one conspiracy after another. Later, he receives a mission to steal the tactical knife of a member of the paranormal company. He is told that the knife is tied to important secrets that cannot be revealed, and before he leaves, the organization gives him a spray to use on his target while making his escape. He reaches the target’s home and successfully takes the knife. As instructed, he sprays his target while fleeing, but the spray affects him too. In the heat of the moment, he pins the other man down, struggling to keep his wits. Only after forcing himself on him does he suddenly realize what he has done. He apologizes, then runs away.
