[Alternate History] [Farming] [Family Life] [A Touch of Ensemble Cast] [Building Wealth] [No Pocket Dimension or System]
After an accident, Sang Yi becomes the village idiot of the Sang family in Lu Family Village. From the start, she has to deal with a grandfather who sells his own granddaughter and a grandmother who despises her. Just as she finally comes to her senses, her father is injured in an accident while gathering wild vegetables on the mountain. As a result, she is forced to complete a task: turn wasteland into paddy fields in ten days.
But she never expected that, besides farming, she would also have to handle all sorts of messy family affairs.
Her eldest uncle is sick?
Sang Yi: "It's fine. I know what I'm doing."
Her eldest sister is divorced?
Sang Yi: "No problem. I can talk her through it."
The rice she spent months growing gets swept away by a torrential downpour?
Sang Yi: "It's fine. I can keep going."
Her fifth older brother wants to join the Third Princess's faction?
Sang Yi: "It's fine. I can still keep things under control. Worst comes to worst, I'll earn money little by little and take the whole family on the run."
But just as the family business starts making money hand over fist, someone tells her to cooperate and go to jail.
Sang Yi: "That is absolutely not happening."
To save her own life, she has no choice but to lead the whole family in a flight to Lingnan and start over.
She opens a medical clinic, sells aged tangerine peel wine, makes lychee-flavored fruit drinks, recreates coconut chicken, experiments with summer shaved ice, and launches a sugar industry. Before long, she becomes the richest person in Lingnan and is forced to join the Third Princess's faction, helping her ascend to the throne.
After accomplishing her mission, she retires from public life. Her eldest aunt grows confident and strong, her second aunt embraces the ways of a career woman, and her second uncle becomes an imperial artisan. The younger generation also fulfills its ambitions: some distinguish themselves in service to the emperor and country, while others practice medicine to save lives and travel the world.
Only Sang Yi returns to where she began, determined to build a little thatched hut and raise a dog,
Overall it's still very nice to watch. At the beginning, it can be seen that the author's writing style is relatively immature. But to be honest, I was quite pleasantly surprised after seeing it. The writing style has improved to a certain extent, and the characters have become more fleshed-out. The group portraits are indeed good-looking. Come on, author, I look forward to your next story 😘
It's more generous, it will be more interesting later. 👍👍👍
