In Tianjin in 1939, watchmaker Chen Jingming was an underground party traffic officer who repaired clocks to deliver encrypted information. He met Sato, a member of the Japanese military police who came to "inspect the watch shop" (actually an undercover agent for our side). The two cooperated to deliver information, but were monitored by Japanese spies.
