A Retired Special Forces Soldier’s Survival Record in the Extreme Apocalypse

Dust clouds blotted out the sky, and disaster struck without warning! Heat waves, cold snaps, and mutated beasts ravaged the land in turn. The power grid collapsed, food ran out, civilization vanished amid the ruins, and hunger and fear tore humanity apart. This was an extreme apocalypse where even staying alive was an impossible dream.

Zhang Ergou, a former ace of the Longya special forces, had once traversed battlefields where life and death hung in the balance, but after leaving the military, he found himself trapped in this living hell. He has no System, only infantry combat skills etched into his bones, battle-tested tactics, and wilderness survival rules ingrained in his muscle memory.

He lives in an underground fortress and stockpiles strategic supplies. Relying on teamwork and a rifle, he uses a single tactical maneuver to wipe out the looters, turning a special forces soldier’s baseline for survival into the apocalyptic world’s gold standard.

But when a survivor he saved turns on him, he finally sees the truth: the most terrifying thing about the apocalypse isn’t natural disaster, but the inscrutable human heart. As the shocking conspiracy behind the catastrophe gradually comes to light, should he stay in his fortress and look out for himself, or take up his gun and carve out a path to survival through the ruins for the innocent?
