History is a lie written by the victors, and the world beneath our feet is just a thin layer of ice covering the abyss.
Gu Chen is an ordinary archivist at the Municipal Archives of Abnormal Phenomena. His job is to organize those "abandoned" files that have been forgotten by the times and cannot be explained by common sense. He suffers from severe "tinnitus" and can always hear some broken murmurs that are not of this world.
It wasn't until a pending suicide case about the "non-existent dynasty" was placed in front of him that he discovered that the so-called tinnitus might be an echo from the other side of the starry sky. When ancient secrets awaken from dusty archives, and when those "old days" that only exist in myths are no longer legends, he is forced to put on shackles and walk on the boundaries of reason.
What he wants to do is not to save the world, but to extend human "ignorance" for one second before the crazy truth drowns everything.
After all, sometimes forgetfulness is a gift and truth is a curse.
