Chen Chuanye x Yue Chen (The Things Between an Orange and a Coconut)
Yue Chen: "The first time we met, you set off firecrackers to welcome me. I'm truly honored."
Chen Chuanye: "Enough. Bring that up again and see what happens."
In their first year of high school, the prideful Miss Chen met the shameless Mr. Yue, beginning their epic (not really), tortuous (even less so), and heart-wrenching story of a love that just wouldn't end (absolutely not).
Later, Miss Chen, who had fallen first, packed up and fled overseas overnight. Mr. Yue, who only realized his feelings later, rushed after her and caught up with her plane.
Yue Chen: "I couldn't help it. She's the only proof that I ever went to high school."
Chen Chuanye: "That's because he only knew me in his entire class!"
Yue Chen: "She secretly came to watch my competition. What else could that mean if not that she loves me?!" (finger heart)
Chen Chuanye: (explodes) "I didn't! It wasn't me! I never did that!" (three denials) (Her mom steps in: "All right, all right, Yue Chen, say a little less...")
Was what happened between them back then really a timid person's escape route, or a brave person's punishment?
Chen Chuanye doesn't know. She only knows that a believer will always protect her deity.
The young knight falls, step by step, into the trap carefully laid for her.
The one who set the trap finally gets his wish and embraces his whole world.
Yue Chen sighs softly in her ear: "I've drifted alone for far too long."
(Mostly told from the female lead's perspective. Entirely fictional, with no real-life inspiration.)
