A Horse from the Start: I Speedrun the Journey to the West with Tang Sanzang

Overworked office drone Luo Xiaoma dies suddenly and transmigrates into the White Dragon Horse on the journey to the West. The Three Realms are just like a workplace, and all eighty-one trials are performance reviews.

Every day, he has to carry the luggage and take the blame, while also putting up with Tang Sanzang's chanting, Wukong's temper, and Bajie's shirking. The team is exhausted, and all he wants is to lie flat.

By chance, he gets a golden finger and binds himself to the “Slacking System,” which specializes in curing all kinds of rat race.

The System offers choices: fake an illness, slack off, shift the blame, or watch the drama unfold. Any of them can earn rewards. Speedrun coins can be exchanged for the Art of Divine Movement, while slacking points can buy invisibility cards.

While others risk their lives fighting monsters, he watches the stars from the sidelines. When Wukong calls for reinforcements, he has already clocked out early.

While the team is still worrying about clearing the trial, he hacks the data and sends his merit score through the roof.

In the end, when Lingshan hands out rewards, he turns down a permanent position and vanishes from the legends of the Three Realms, carrying his carefree merits with him.
