Cultivating Immortality in the City: The Great Sage, Lord of Gods and Buddhas, Returns

At the summit of Lingshan, the true Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, was suppressed by the Tathagata. But the Six-Eared Macaque attacked him from behind, ending his path to immortality with a single blow. His soul remained intact, drifting through the void for billions of years as he witnessed the fading shadows of gods and demons and the rise and fall of dynasties. His burning desire for revenge slowly dwindled into an obsession on the verge of extinction.

A chance rift in space and time swept his soul into the Blue Star of the 22nd century, a planet much like Earth, where immortals and Buddhas are unknown, technology rules everything, and ordinary people have never heard tales of the Three Realms. On the brink of death, he seized the body of Ye Chen, a Chinese special forces soldier. From then on, he hid the Great Sage's soul within a mortal body and began his path of cultivation anew, amid steel jungles and untamed mountains.
