Village Chief, You’re Slacking Off Again

Wang Yang, a college graduate who had just joined the Party, was forced to become the village chief.

What’s the point of being chief of a tiny village in the Northeast? The roads are terrible, there’s no money, and every day brings one petty problem after another.

But the locals kept insisting, “You can do it, you can do it.”

So Wang Yang began her village chief’s journey. Why is there so much to deal with just to do this job well? Another day of wanting to throw in the towel begins.

No promotion here (it’s not that the protagonist is stupid, it’s that the author is).
