Introduction to the work "Sun Wuji, the Counselor of the Tang Dynasty"
He was a noble man from Guanlong, but he left the country at a young age and lived under the influence of others; he was a Zhenguan gugu, who decided the Xuanwu Gate with his wisdom and laid the foundation for a prosperous age based on laws; he was a powerful official in Yonghui, entrusted by Taizong to assist Emperor Gaozong alone, but he died unjustly due to a power struggle. The life of Changsun Wuji, the top counselor in the Tang Dynasty, is an epic that combines the rise and fall of aristocratic families, dynasty changes and the struggle of human nature.
He was born in the Changsun family of Henan, and his father was Changsun Sheng, a general of the Sui Dynasty. However, he was expelled by his half-brother when he was young. He fled to his uncle Gao Shilian, and he developed a deep mind in the troubled times. When Jinyang raised an army, he hit it off with Li Shimin and became one of his core advisers. Before the Xuanwu Gate Revolution, he promoted the success of the coup with his determination to "continue to stop and suffer chaos."
During the Gaozong Dynasty, he assisted the government with the respect of minister Gu Ming and revised the "Tang Laws and Comments" to improve the legal system. However, because he opposed "abolition of the king and establishment of military forces" which touched the interests of the Wu Zetian Group, he was eventually framed by Xu Jingzong for rebellion and was exiled to Qianzhou, where he was forced to commit suicide. His life was a game between loyalty and power, a collision between law and imperial power, and an epitome of the ups and downs of an era's counselors in the political whirlpool.
Open this book and see how Changsun Wuji grew from an orphan to a pillar of the generation, and how he wrote his own legend and tragedy in the glory of the Zhenguan rule and the undercurrent of the Yonghui rule.
